Aroma/Color/Taste: Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, is also known as "The Queen's Tea", as in the Queen of England.  It is said to be her favorite tea.  This is a true Lapsang Souchong (black tea).  This Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong with hints of fruit and a sweet smoky after taste is a delightful cup of tea.  Taste it and you'll know why this is "The Queen's Tea".  It may remind you of a breakfast tea.  But this tea which has been growing wild for over 100 years, is not commercial grade.  It is full of flavor.  And is a high quality tea that will revitalize your being as you enjoy the taste.

Location:  This Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong tea is from the center of Wuyi Mountain on the protected side, where tourism is restricted and all wild life is protected.  Wuyi Mountain is in the northwest of Fujian Province in  southeast China.

Made by:  It was made by Tea Master Xu, smoke dried over pinewood trees.

Brews & Steeping:  Bring the water to a rolling boil.  Wait for the bubbling water to settle.  Pour off the first brew to open the leaves.  For first drink, infuse for 3 seconds, pour and enjoy.  This tea can make 10-15 infusions.  Increase steep time only slightly longer as you reach the final brews.  You'll know by the color and taste of the tea, when it has been exhausted.  We recommend using a small thick clay teapot and spring or filtered water.

Our teas are packed and shipped with eco friendly packaging when possible.
